If you find that Outlook 2007 not responding while try to open mail with attachment but no issue opening mails without attachment. Also in some case Outlook shows not responding message suddenly it close and reopen Outlook.
First you have to check the Outlook storage file size, if it is exceeded 5. GB, Make a backup of your .PST file and Compact it. In Select Menu Tools- Account Settings. Select Data Files tab from Account Settings window. Select your Outlook Default store and click Settings-Compact Now Button. It will start Compacting. It will take a while depending on your .PST file size and in it will ask about Archiving your old mails. It is best to allow Outlook to achieve. After compacting, try to open your mails.
