Empty or Blank Desktop after logging on to Windows 2003 Standard Server

When you log on to Windows 20003 server, you may see a empty desktop or no desktop. When this occurs, you can press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to start Task Manager, but Explorer.exe is not listed in the list of running tasks or processes. Starting a new instance of Explorer.exe does not resolve the issue. In my case,  problem started when server infected with virus and I try to install all Security updates from Microsoft. When I try to logged into server after update, it shows the blank desktop. To solve this issue, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to start Task Manager, Press New Task button and type CMD on Create New Task Windows Open location and press OK button. Type sfc /scannow in command widow and wait for completion. Restart the system and try to login.
