How to add an Image signature in Windows Mail and Live Mail

Outlook Express replaced with Windows Mail in Windows Vista and Windows Live Mail replaced Windows Mail in Windows 7. Since the programs are similar, the instructions for creating an email signature with an image are similar. However, there are differences. Here I try to explain an easy steps to create Signature. First you need to create a HTML File that includes your graphics such as a logo and accompanying text. To do this, open your email application, create a new message and insert an Image as in line though the Insert->Picture menu. Save this message as "Signature.html" through File->Save option.

If you are using Windows Mail then your signature is ready to insert in your mails. But in case of Windows Live Mail, you need to edit the file by opening through notepad.Find and replace the line contain src=”cid: with  src="Full path + Signature Image name with extension " Eg: src="D:\image.gif" and save the file.

To add this signature in mail, Select menu Tools -> Options. Select Signatures tab and click New button. In the Edit Signature section, select the radio button for File. Click the Browse button.
Navigate to the HTML file you just created. You may need to change the file types list to HTML Files.
Highlight your file and click Open. Check your desired Signature settings. Click OK.

If you still don't see your image, you may need to go to Tools > Safety Options... > Security Tab > Download Images section and unchecked Block Images.
